- 01The Championeers core values are the foundational principles and values that guide our educational approach. They include a focus on virtuous living, civic responsibility and traditional American values. We intentionally build a safe and loving community where both students and parents feel valued and connected. Teachers partner with parents as an extension of their values and commitment to promote curiosity and discovery, stewardship of gifts and talents, leadership and personal accountability, critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation through project-based learning to develop resilient and capable individuals.
- 02Championeers Academy is designed to provide a balanced mix of core academics, enrichment classes, arts, and life skills. You get to choose how you mix and match them. You can take just the core classes to add structure and community to your school week, just the music and theater electives, or spend a day on the Homestead. It's your school, design it to meet your needs. Championeers Academy: Each day includes structured learning periods and opportunities for collaborative projects. We utilize family-style thematic learning based on our own leading-edge techniques in neural education so children learn deep. We gather as a whole school, but learn our cores in breakout classrooms. Tuition-based Children's School of the Arts: These electives are class-based. Choose what you love and pay only for that class, or cluster them under the school as electives for full reimbursement through Idaho's Parental Tax Credit. Explore Kids Radio, podcasting, theater, Championeers! Show Choir and more. Traditional Skills & KidzBiz Entrepreneurship: Join us for old fashioned fun, learning traditional homesteading skills, homemaking and home-building while developing life and entrepreneurial skills.
- 03Championeers Academy is a hybrid homeschool, which means we partner with parents to support the four academic cores, in and out of class. Your teacher takes the guesswork out of homeschooling, by laying out all of your weekly lesson plans so you know you're staying on track. Cores include: Math, Science, Literature, and Social Studies. We go over the new concepts each week in class with STEM, concept games, Skill Builders, and projects that coordinate with daily lessons you do at home. We here to help guide you through the process with both academic and emotional support through our community of educators and other, like-minded homeschool moms. Parents, are encouraged to go deeper at home and add additional resources and projects according to your child's needs, learning style, and academic appetite. we give you the base to keep your child on a successful academic pace but we expect many of our students to want more as their foundational skills build... you go as far as your child will run!
- 04State Testing is NOT REQUIRED. We understand that testing can be a sensitive topic for many homeschool families—especially when each child learns in their own unique way. Idaho's Parental Tax Credit choice does not require standardized tests. However, they do ask for simple evidence of progress to keep your funding active. To help with this (and to give you peace of mind that your child is thriving), we provide gentle before-and-after unit reviews—short, stress-free quizzes just for your records and ours. These are designed to highlight growth, not to grade or compare. We also encourage optional grade-level assessments to track your child’s learning over time. You’re always in the driver’s seat—we’re just here to support your journey.
- 05Championeers Academy encourages parent involvement and participation on campus. Most of our moms stay and visit or join the Mom & Me classes with their babies, toddlers or preschool-aged kids. We love having you at school enjoying the fun with your children, but we also recognize that you might need this time for a part time job or a sanity break. We do allow drop-offs with staff permission. We also use buddy-moms to make sure every child has a designated mama friend in your absence.
- 06Championeers Academy is a hybrid homeschool approach with a unique mix and match feature to include optional (or stand alone) enrichment classes. With that said, by nature of The Homestead program, we do train volunteers in our methodology and mission to provide a broad scope of traditional skills and experiences that they would not receive otherwise. We highly screen our parent educators, placing them under master teachers to ensure coherent values, mission, and school culture. ... with that said, we LOVE it when our mamas become teammates so let us know if you have special talents and interests in teaching, especially with our traditional skills, KidzBiz or in the Championeers School of the Arts There's so much fun to be had and to share when we bring our skills together.
